Welcome to Summit! Just like a stage has various performers each with unique roles, Summit assigns distinct roles to every user. Each role comes with its own set of privileges, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
To find out which role you're rocking, simply glance at the circle beside the user's name on your dashboard. Ready to explore the backstage secrets of our user roles? Let’s dive in!
There are currently 5 types of roles:
- Admins have access to all functions including viewing all company transactions and balance, syncing transactions on Summit with accounting software, creating invoices, approvals, and managing user access.
- Accountant has similar permissions as Admin but limited user management.
- Auditor can view all account and transaction information, but cannot edit or approve anything.
- Bookkeepers can have access to create invoices, set sync up and request for reimbursement.
- Employees have access to make requests for reimbursement.
Other than that, Admins, Bookkeepers, and Employees can act as a Budget Manager. A budget manager is given more privileges in accessing control in their respective budgets.
