Welcome! Adding new users to Summit doesn’t have to be a hassle. Whether you're bringing on a single new user or managing a wave of new users, we’ve got you covered. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps for both manual and batch user addition. With our straightforward approach, you'll be navigating these processes like a pro in no time. How to Add in New Users (Manual)
Ideal for: Adding in users individually
1. On your Summit dashboard, click on 'Users'
2. Click the ‘+ New users’ button on the top right side of the screen.
3. Click on ‘Add manually’ and fill in the fields with the correct user information.
4. Assign a role for the new user. To see user access information in each role, click on the symbol.
(Optional) To add another user, click the ‘+Add More User’ button.
5. Click the ‘Add User’ button at the bottom.
And that’s it! Your new user will receive an automated email once their account has been successfully created.
How to Add in New Users (Batch)
Ideal for: Adding in multiple users at once
1. On the 'Add new users' page, click ‘Add many at once’, and then click the ‘Download Template’ button. You will download the CSV template for your user bulk addition.
2. Open the CSV file and fill in the required fields with your user data. Remember to assign a role for each user by choosing from the drop-down list. Save the CSV file that has been filled with your user data.
3. Go back to the Add New Users page and upload the template. You can do so by dragging the CSV file onto the upload box or by clicking on the ‘Choose Files’ button.
Your new users will receive an automated email once their account has been successfully created.
And that’s it! Adding new users to Summit, whether manually or in bulk, is a piece of cake. Once you've completed the process, each new user will receive an automated email welcoming them and providing the details they need to get started.
